As a wedding and event vendor, you spend a lot of time sitting and waiting. You arrive early, setup, test your equipment and wait for the party to begin. The one exception to this vendor norm is the coordinator. They are busy the moment they arrive. The really good ones will work tirelessly until the event is over, because if you ask them, that party is just as much theirs as it is the hosts.
I had the pleasure of meeting Dana Briggs of Elegantly Yours Events recently. Within the first few minutes of our conversation, her passion for eventing, attention to detail and friendly personality became quite evident.
Even though MoxBox is a low maintenance addition to any event, Dana checked in with me throughout the night to ensure everything was running smoothly on my end. At the conclusion of the evening she went out of her way to thank me for coming, offered up her office if I needed extra workspace and gave me a big hug.
I hope to do many more events with Dana. She would be an asset to anyone looking for planning and day-of coordination.
